Large Gas Grills Are Not Always Preffered
When the time comes to purchase a grill for your Sunday gatherings the first product that comes into your mind is to go for a gas grill. If you start doing some basic market research there is a high chance that you will be lost soon enough.
Most grills of this type are large in size. Many people have limited space in their backyard so it is not wise to place such a huge grill. Many believe that larger in size means higher quality too. The only advantage you get with a large gas grill is the ability to cook more burgers or steaks at once.
Let me explain exactly what I mean. Their size and weight brings difficulty in moving it around or storing it in a safe location. The fact is that the only feature you get as an extra is about 20% additional grilling surface.
Here are some of the basic features you should look for in a gas grill:
- strong body,
- side work surfaces,
- holders for grilling tools on the sides,
- well constructed dripping pipes,
- integrated thermometer,
- fast ignition system
- well balanced ground stands.
What I am trying to say is that these essential specs can be found in a more well-valued and comfortable gas grill. You can find all that in much more “value for money” grill models without having to spend a fortune.
Visualize this; even if you buy the large and fancy grill that everyone talks about, you will see that most of the times you only make use of a fraction of its grilling power. You might reasonably consider that you will get additional accessories, such as a wamring rack, with the purchase of the large stainless steel gas grill. That is true most of time, but i do not think that this is a priority you should have.
In the end every griller’s needs differ. So you will have to think about your personal priorities and tastes before selecting. If you have an oversized family then you might have different criteria in your choices, but this is the exception to the rule.
