Gas Grills – Use And Difference From Other Types Of Grills
Every person likes good food. Nowadays, the trend of Bar-B-Q food is increasing because of its delicious taste. Gas grills are the most widely used grills for this purpose. They mostly use propane and natural gas as fuel instead of charcoal which is still used in traditional grills. They are available in a wide price range and various sizes. Large size is used in lawns or in patios or for outdoor parties but for indoor usage small size is advised. Fuel tank is connected to the grill with the help of a wheeled enclosure. This provides a continuous supply of gas for cooking purpose.
Recently a new technique has been introduced, which is use of infrared radiations along with the gas fuel. Infrared radiations help to cook the food from inside leaving no part uncooked or poorly cooked. For traditional Bar-B-Q lovers some wooden smoke boxes are used. This provides traditional taste to the food and this technique is getting more and more popular.
There are two main types of gas grills. First is known as open type which is identical to the traditional one with gas burner installed in the lower surface. The second type is known as folding contact type which is ideal to make grilled sandwich and it works like Panini press and cooks food from both sides evenly.
Gas grills have certain advantages over traditional charcoal grills. They use propane gas or natural gas which makes it easy to start a flame as compared to charcoal. Secondly, there is usually a temperature gauge installed on them which can be used to increase or decrease the flame according to need but this is not possible in traditional grills. It is easy to clean them as they cool down quickly while charcoal grills take a plenty of time to cool down.
